ALL roads lead to Buncrana on Monday night when Derry City host 2016 league winners Dundalk at Maginn Park.
Last Friday night’s first outing for the Candy Stripes at Maginn Park ended very abruptly when the floodlights failed.
The match was evenly poised at 1-1 and the game is to be replayed later this month.
Derry are currently sitting in third position in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division table and manager Kenny Shiels will be looking to consolidate that with either a home win against much fancied Dundalk.
In advance of Monday night’s game Gardai in Buncrana have issued some advice for the Derry fans making the trip across the border for the game.
“Gardaí at Buncrana would like to thank all the supporters who attended the recent match against Limerick.
“We look forward to the replay…..played in its entirety this time!
“The good humoured behaviour of all the supporters who attended the match is a real credit to all.
“Gardaí are grateful in this regard.
“In advance of the match next Monday against Dundalk we again wish to remind you of a few points:
“The police in Derry also have a message for the travelling Candy Stripe fans:
“PSNI Foyle along with An Garda Síochána would like you, as a representative of our great city to respect all residents around the ground and most importantly enjoy the game.”
