
Nathan Boyle bagged the equaliser for Derry City against champions Dundalk
DERRY City stormed back from a goal down to clinch a superb win over champions Dundalk this evening.
Dane Massey headed Stephen Kenny’s visitors ahead in the 16th minute at Derry’s adopted home of Maginn Park.
Nathan Boyle equalised just before half-time with a low shot after finding space in the penalty box.
Barry McNamee dinked the ball over keeper Gabriel Sava to give Derry the lead and skipper Ryan McBride headed the third five minutes from time.
It is a superb win for Derry who are playing their home games in Buncrana as the Brandywell is still under redevelopment.
Meanwhile, in other games, there was a win for Finn Harps who beat St Patrick’s Athletic 2-1.
Bray Wanderers beat Drogheda 2-1.
Cork City beat Sligo Rover 2-1.
And there was an away win for Bohemians against Limerick.
