DETECTIVES have charged a man with a van bomb murder bid.
A device exploded causing damage to a vehicle in the Sallys Wood in Irvinestown, Co Fermanagh on Tuesday, January 31.
Police said a 32-year-old man was arrested in the Buncrana Road area of Derry on Thursday evening.
He was detained under section 41 of the Terrorism Act.
The suspect has been charged with attempted murder and possession of explosives with intent to endanger life or damage property.
He is to appear at Omagh Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Saturday, April 1 for a first remand hearing.
Detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit are expected to oppose any bail application.
