DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime branch have charged a 27 year old man with a number of offences.
They include possession of criminal property; possession of a class A controlled drug; possession of a class B controlled drug and possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
He is due to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Saturday, April 15 for a first remand hearing.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charges relate to the arrest of the 27-year-old man during a house search in Derry on Thursday afternoon.
The man was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including possession of cocaine; simple possession and possession with intent to supply herbal cannabis with a street value of £20,000; and possession of criminal property.
He was also arrested on suspicion of possessing criminal property in respect of a quantity of cash and £280,000 worth of herbal cannabis, which was seized in Derry on last September 22, 2016.
The suspect remains in custody at Strand Road police station ahead of his court appearance on Saturday morning.
