DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit (TIU) have arrested two men have over a dissident republican paramilitary style shooting in Derry last month.
A 23-year-old man was shot in the leg at a Ladbrokes bookmakers in Central Drive on March 27 around 9 pm.
Detectives arrested a 26-year-old and a 49-year-old man in the city on this morning, Wednesday, April 19.
They have been taken to the serious crime custody suite at Musgrave PSNI station in Belfast for questioning.
TIU detectives appealed for anyone with information on the shooting to contact them on the 101 number or on Crimestoppers on freephone 0800 555 111.
A number of men have been arrested over the shooting but all have been released unconditionally.
