POLICE arrested a man over after a knife incident in Derry city centre yesterday.
Officers on mobile patrol responded to a call and went to the scene at Ferryquay Street around 5. 30 pm.
The caller reported that a man was carrying a knife.
Police arrested the man for possessing an offensive weapon in a public place contrary to common law.
He was handcuffed and taken away in a police car to Strand Road PSNI station for questioning.
