PEOPLE Before Profit are holding a rally this evening, Wednesday, May 10, for its candidate Shaun Harkin who is standing in the Foyle constituency in next month’s General Election.
The rally is being held in The Playhouse at 7 pm.
Joining Shaun Harkin who the party describe as the “radical alternative for Foyle” at the even will be former PBP Foyle MLA Eamonnn McCann, Dublin PBP Councillor Madeleine Johansson.
Ahead of this evening’s rally Mr Harkin said: “I am standing to offer a radical alternative to establishment nationalism and unionism in this election.
“If elected I will vote with Jeremy Corbyn to end the rigged economy in favour of the super-rich and corporations, to end austerity and to stop Theresa May’s Tory Brexit.
“We are for a Socialist Ireland with a fully funded public health service, the full separation of Church and State, and living wages not poverty wages.”
