DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have arrested a 40 year old man on suspicion of a number of drugs’ offences.
The PSNI say the arrest was made following the search of a property under warrant in Co Derry yesterday, Thursday, May 11.
They seized 2.7 kilos of suspected cocaine and 1.6 kilos of a bulking agent at the address in the Laurel Park area of Coleraine, with an estimated street value of £175,000.
Police also removed an hydraulic press which they believe is for use in cutting and re-pressing cocaine.
The man is currently in custody, helping police with their enquiries.#
Detective Sergeant Tim Hooke said: “Good police work means that a significant quantity of drugs have been removed from sale.
“We understand that drug misuse is an issue of concern to the community and we are committed to keeping people safe by tackling drug supply.”
