A 12-year-old boy has been rescued after he fell 15 feet down a steep slope onto rocks on the coast of Co Derry.
The alarm was raised at approximately 6.10 pm on Sunday evening at Castlerock.
Coleraine Coastguard Resuce Team alongside colleagues from Ballycastle were called to the scene to rescue the young boy.
Ambulance Service personnel including a Rapid Response Vehicle were also dispatched to the scene.
The injured boy was stabilised by the paramedic crew before being stretched to safety by the Coastguard team.
It is understood he suffered head and leg injuries in the fall.
Coleraine Coastguard Rescue Team said the incident “demonstrates again the need for caution near cliff edges and slopes.”
