THE countdown is underway for the first ever Education to Employability Festival which will be held at Ebrington Square this Friday, May 26.
More than 100 exhibitors have booked to take part in this FREE event, a partnership delivery by North West Regional College with Derry City and Strabane District Council, which is designed to inspire local people in the North West to make the connection from Education to Employability.
Beginning at 1 p.m., the festival, based across three marquees, will be brimming full of interactive showcases and exhibitions from a range of leading learning and industry organisations.
In a jam packed programme of events, there’ll be education advice available, career opportunities, fun interactive activities, live music, culinary demonstrations and much more.
Errigal Contracts based in Derry and Dungiven will be one of the many companies exhibiting offering real job opportunities on the day.
The company is currently partnering with North West Regional College bringing 16 apprenticeships this September. Come alone on the day and find out more.
Local employer Western Health and Social Care Trust will run seven different exhibitions on Friday, showcasing careers ranging from pharmacy to social work, and giving advice on the wide range of careers and job opportunities available locally in the health and social care sector.
W5 will be on site with a Minecraft demonstration, the local fire service will carry out an emergency demonstration and Ulster University will be exhibiting their interactive robot.

The festival takes place on Friday, May 26 from 1-6 p.m. at Ebrington Square.
