THE Western Trust has launched its new Corporate Plan covering the four years 2017 to 2021.
Following an extensive engagement exercise with Western Trust staff and a formal public consultation, the Plan was approved by Trust Board on 2 March 2017 and by the Department of Health.
The Corporate Plan is the overarching strategic plan for the Western Trust and sets out at a high level the direction and priorities for the Trust over the next four years.
It also reflects key regional strategic priorities as set out in the draft Programme for Government Framework 2016–21, the Minister of Health’s vision in Health and Wellbeing 2026: Delivering Together, the Making Life Better Public Health Framework and the Community Plans for the three Council areas within the Western Trust’s geography.
Western Trust Chief Executive, Elaine Way, CBE said: “The Western Trust is committed to delivering the best care and outcomes for people who use our services.
“We believe that the people who use our services, our staff and our communities are best placed to tell us what is needed.
“Therefore, in developing our Corporate Plan, we undertook a programme of engagement with staff and external stakeholders to help us to look again at the aim, values and shared purpose of the Trust, identify the outcomes we aspire to delivering for our population, and focus on actions that we will work to deliver over the lifetime of the Plan.”
