POLICE have charged a juvenile to face Derry Magistrates’ court his morning, Saturday, June 3, following an investigation into house break-ins in the city.
The PSNI revealed that householder’s CCTV footage helped officers arrest and charge the 15-year-old to Derry Magistrates’ Court over a number of burglaries.
A PSNI Foyle spokesperson said: “Officers from the Reducing Offending Unit have today charged a juvenile to Court in relation to two burglaries in the Rosemount area of the City.
“As is normal procedure, these charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
“These burglaries occurred last Thursday evening and an arrest was made after CCTV footage was located, thanks to a security aware member of the public.
“CCTV is just one of the measures that can be put in place to protect your home.
