DAN Tunai had won the SSE Walled City Marathon with a time of two hours and 25 minutes.
Local woman Catherine Whoriskey won the ladies race (pictured above) in a time of 2 hours and 50 minutes.
Over 1,500 people took part took place in this morning’s event.
Runners set off at 8 30 am for on the 26.2 mile course from the Everglades Hotel on Prehan Road.
Tunai took first place, with the marathon regular Freddy Sittuk taking second place just two minutes off the pace with a time of two hours and 27 minutes.
Tunai was the runner-up in the 2016 event.
