POLICE have reported that Pixie the pup has been located and returned to her rightful owners.
The four-month-old had been stolen last week from its young owners in the Shantallow area of the city.
At one, it was reported on social media that a dog similar to Pixie was being offered for sale on Facebook.
A Foyle spokesperson said: “Needless to say they were as delighted to see her as we were

“Police enquiries are still ongoing.

“This also proves the importance of having your pet chipped, as this is how we were able to confirm who she was.
“Unfortunately it brought a tear to my eye again 
😢as I had to give her back!”
