THE brave members Foyle Search and Rescue were back in action last night saving another life when they brought a male of the River Foyle.
He is now recovering in Altnagelvin Hospital.
The alarm was raised last night when the PSNI activated Foye Search and Rescue’s Emergency Response Team to reports of a person spotted in the water.
FSR Land crews and two boats responded and observed a male in the water.
Members of FSR and the Fire and Rescue Service managed to get close to the male and then safely brought him ashore.
A spokesperson for Foyle Search and Rescue Service said: “The male was then placed in an NIAS Ambulance & taken to Hospital.
“Police Service of Northern Ireland were also on scene. FSR crews were then stood down.”
