AROUND 80 jobs are to be created in Derry as home, leisure and garden retailer The Range opens a new store in Derry this week – its second in the north.
The new store will replace the old B&Q outlet in the Faustina Retail Park on the Buncrana Road.
It opens its door to the public this Friday, June 30.
The Range is owned and run by Devon-based entrepreneur Chris Dawson and opened its first superstore in Northern Ireland in October last year in Ballymena.
An extensive furniture department, family café and outdoor garden centre will be some of the key features at the new Derry store.
Mr Dawson said the company were excited to be continuing their expansion in the north.
“It is a great step in helping the business to progress and grow,” he added.
