THE protection of language speakers is no threat to any community or any culture says SDLP Mid Ulster MLA Patsy McGlone.
He said: “As another deadline for reaching resolution to the challenges we face passes, the public has become more and more frustrated with the deadlock at Stormont.
“No one understands that more than language speakers who only want basic legislative protection.
“That protection threatens no community and no culture.
“The SDLP has made positive and pragmatic proposals to unlock the issues which have seemed intractable.
“If parties are interested in an inclusive and sustainable Executive, they need to demonstrate a willingness to protect and respect the rights of language speakers in a way that has been absent.
