A SEARCH for a missing teenager has been called off after he was found safe and well in Derry.
Police in Coleraine were becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Reiss Laughlin.
The 16-year-old is from Drumahoe.
Sgt Brown said: “Reiss traveled to Coleraine for the 12th July celebrations and got separated from his friends at approximately 5 pm on 12th.
“He was believed to have been last seen on the Ballycastle Road area of Coleraine.
“Reiss is described as 5′ 7 slim, black hair, blue eyes wearing black top and jeans.
“If you have any information on the where abouts of Reiss please contact Police on 101 quoting reference number 1937 12.07.17.”
Following the appeal on its Foyle facebook page, there had been a number of sightings of Reiss who got the train back from Coleraine to Derry.
Eventually Reiss was located in the early hours of this morning.
Marcus Bye wrote on PSNI Foyle’s Facebook page: “I have him here at #fastcabs office bonds Street.
“He was walking past and I spotted him.
“The PSNI been called and he’s been lifted and took home.”
