THE Western Trust say children under 18 years old who use a self-propelling or powered wheelchair are invited to a Wheelchair Skills Training Workshop.
The event will take place on Tuesday 1st August at 10 am to 3 pm in Derry’s Foyle Arena.
There will also be a ‘Have a Go Sports Day’ on Thursday 24th August in the Torrent Complex, Dungannon at 11 am to 3:30 pm.
A Trust spokesperson said: “These free events are designed to increase a child’s confidence using their wheelchair, as well as giving the opportunity to have fun and meet new friends.
“Parents/guardians, siblings and friends are welcome to try out the skills and sports in the extra wheelchairs we will make available.
Children are required to register prior to the events.
