DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit probing an under vehicle improvised explosive device that was placed under the car of a serving police officer in Eglinton, Derry, on 18 June 2015 have arrested a 30 year old man.
Detective Chief John Caldwell said: “The man has been taken to Musgrave PSNI where he is assisting police with their enquiries.”
There are no further details of where the arrest took place.
Dissident republican bombers were disturbed by the officers police woman wife who noticed someone crouched at the their car which was parked in the driveway.
Up to four men were later arrested by Gardai in Co Donegal.
One man from Lurgan, Co Armagh was later charged with the attempted murder of the officer following an alleged forensic link.
