POLICE are appealing for information after a young man who was brutally assaulted in the early hours of the yesterday morning in Derry.
He was knocked unconscious and received serious head injuries.
The victim of the attack is being treated in Altnagelvin Hospital.
A PSNI Foyle spokesperson said: “At about 2.15am yesterday (early hours of Sunday morning) a young male was seriously assaulted at the junction of Chamberlain Street and William Street.
“The young male was knocked unconscious and sustained serious injuries.
“Someone needs to be brought to justice for this
