IT was a disappointing night for Derry City Under 17s in the Mark Farren Memorial Cup.
After thrashing Dundalk 5-0 in the quarter final with goals, manager Gary Duffy’s sde went into tonight’s game at Maginn Park with a bounce in their step.
But the plans of reaching the final of the competition named after the late Derry City legend and hot shot striker Mark Farren came unstuck.
Sligo ran out two-nil winners in what was a comfortable win for Rovers in the end.
Well done to the Under 17s in getting to the semi final.
