THE volunteers at Foyle Search and Rescue saved another life in the early hours of this morning.
FSR said: “At 4:28 hrs on Saturday the 12/8/2017 the Police Service of Northern Ireland activated FSRs Emergency Response Teams pagers to reports of a person observed having entered the water.
“ERT Mobile Unit and two Boat Crews were dispatched to the scene arriving in minutes.
“FSR Boat Crews on scene observed a male and commenced a rescue.
“The male was then transported to FSR Base at Prehen where FSR land crew transferred the male to a NIAS Ambulance.
“The male was taken to hospital, PSNI & NIFRS also attended the scene.
“All FSR Emergency & secondary Response Teams were then stood down.”
Again well done to all involved in this successful operation.
