DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit have released a man arrested of a dissident republican gun attack in Derry.
A 48 year old man arrested on Tuesday under section 41 of the Terrorism Act.
He was detained in connection with a paramilitary style shooting in Lisfannon Park on August 8.
During the incident a 33-year-old man was shot four times in the legs and abdomen.
A police spokesperson said: “The man has now been released unconditionally.”
Under the Terrorism Act, a suspect cannot be released on bail pending further police inquiries.
The suspect is either charge or released unconditionally.
