TWO MORE DANGEROUS UNINSURED VEHICLES TAKEN OFF DERRY STREETS

The two dangerous uninsured vehicles taken off the streets of Derry today

POLICE in Derry have sounded a warning to drivers – if your car is not insured it will be seized.

PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page that Local Policing Team 4 seized the vehicles – a silver Renault Scenic and a red Vauxhall Zafira – while on a busy patrol in the city centre earlier today.

“Whilst answering the usual 999 calls they also managed to seize these two  motors; one in Westway and one in Foyle Street.

“Now I know some people will immediately argue that perhaps these drivers have fallen on financially hard times.

“But Firstly; we ALL pay more on our Premiums for Uninsured Drivers;  and Secondly the impact of being hit by an uninsured driver is not just felt on the car.

“The money spent , the loss of car, the time wasted and stress endured  by honest drivers when hit by these people soon dispels any sympathy.”
