MAYDOWN based DuPont is continuing its commitment to developing their employee’s skills by recently supporting staff to undertake a course in Business Improvement Techniques.
The company’s 10 recent graduates were awarded with an NVQ Level 2 and will now be equipped with improved skills and knowledge that they can use in their daily improvement roles and ensure that DuPont Maydown remains a leader in their class.
The course, delivered by North West Regional College is seen by the company as a foundational step in up-skilling technicians in workplace techniques and practices, and will enable trained employees to make a greater contribution to the overall efficiency of the business.
Paul Kirkpatrick, Organisation Manager at DuPont said: “As a company, we are delighted to be supporting our staff in developing their skills and potential.
“We continue to work with a range of different institutions to provide the best opportunities for our team to be up-skilled and attain qualifications that will advance their careers and skill-sets.
“We look forward to the contribution they will make in continuing to improve the efficiency of the company on a daily basis.”
DuPont has also recently supported two students to attain a First Class Honours Degree at the University of Ulster at Magee, in a new Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing degree, which is the first of its kind in the country.
