SINN Féin Health spokesperson Councillor Patricia Logue has urged the public to meaningfully engage with the Department of Health’s ‘continuing healthcare’ consultation, before the closing date on September 15.
Patricia Logue said: “Following a review of the ‘continuing healthcare’ policy by the Department, a consultation has been opened to gather the thoughts and opinions of civic society and the general public concerning this policy.
“Sinn Féin believes firmly in the principles of co-design and co-production of our health service by care users, allowing citizens to have a direct say in shaping policy and decision-making.
“This consultation has the potential to be an intricate part of that citizen-led project, so I would encourage everyone to take part in the ‘continuing healthcare’ consultation to shape the future of this policy.”
