FRIENDS of a biker who passed away have made a generous donation to the Derry hospital who treated him.
They rode around five counties and covered 160 miles to raise the much needed cash for Altnagelvin’s High Dependency Unit which treated Oliver Quinn.
The Western Trust said: “Our High Dependency Unit (HDU) at Altnagelvin Hospital has received a generous donation of £1,491.50 from the family and friends of Oliver Quinn.
“In memory of Oliver, who was a motorbike enthusiast, 80 bikers completed a 160 mile bike run covering five counties to show their appreciation of the care and treatment given to Oliver while a patient in the Unit.
“The presentation was made by Oliver’s brother James, Anthony Conway and William Hutchins to HDU staff Alison Wray and Patricia McLaughlin.”
