DRIVERS are facing major traffic disruption today close to the Derry – Donegal border.
One of the busiest roads in the North West is currently undergoing resurfacing works near Burt on the main Derry to Letterkenny road.
As a result, a one-way traffic system is now in operation.
There have been lengthy tailbacks during the morning rush.
Motorists are advised to take extra time for their journeys.
Meanwhile, the Drumfries/Carndonagh Rd (R244), also known as Mountain Rd, is expected to be closed until approximately Friday, October 6th.
The local road via Craignahorna Bridge is also closed now following flooding yesterday.
Motorists will have to follow the diversion is via Clonmany and Ballylifin (R238).
