Detectives at Strand Road questioning a man over the death of a toddler in Derry last Sunday
A MAN has been arrested by police investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a three-year-old boy.
Three-year-old Kayden McLaughlin was discovered dead in bed in his Columbcille Court home last weekend.
The arrest comes after emergency services were called to the house in the Bogside area of Derry shortly after 10 am on Sunday, September 17.
Detectives investigating the circumstances surrounding the death detained the 23-year-old man on Saturday, September 23.
He is currently in custody at Strand Road PSNI station helping police with their enquiries.
The arrest follows the results of an extensive post mortem examination.
