Detectives at Strand Road have this morning released a man they had been questioning over the death of a toddler in Derry last Sunday
POLICE this morning say that a 23 year old man arrested by detectives investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a toddler in Derry a week ago today has now been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Emergency services were called at 10 am last Sunday, September 17 to the mother’s flat at Columbcille Court in the Bogside area of the city.
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Peter McKenna: “I would appeal for anyone with information regarding the incident to contact detectives at Strand Road on the non-emergency number, 101, quoting reference 507 of 17/09/17.
“Alternatively, if someone wishes to provide information anonymously, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
