SDLP Leader Colum Eastwood is to address an event at the British Labour Party Conference in Brighton tomorrow, Tuesday, September 26.
The event has been organised by the Labour Party Irish Society on the impact of Brexit on Ireland.
Speaking ahead of the event, he said: “Brexit is an economic and political tsunami gathering momentum and ready to come crashing down on this island.
“It is madness beyond description that the place set to be most affected by this crisis has no voice in the negotiations.
“Ireland’s voice, and particularly the voice of people in the north, must be heard and it must be heeded.
“The SDLP will continue to work with the Labour Party, the SNP and others wHo make that happen in the time ahead,” added the Foyle MLA.
