ON a wet day, 1,000 runners and walkers took to the streets of Derry on Sunday to compete in the Marty Gallagher Memorial 5k run.
Spectators seen a top class finish with Gideon Kipsag of Derry Track Club taking the honours with a time of 15 mins and 05 secs.
Gideon was followed by Scott Rankin of the home club withi just 7 seconds behind with a time of 15 mins 12 secs.
with Adrian McGowan of Foyle Valley in 3rd with a time of 16 minutes and 26.seconds.

The ladies race seen local marathon winner Catherine Whorisey run home a clear winner in a time of 18-07 .
