UPDATED NEWS: MAN TO FACE COURT OVER BURGLARY AT CHRIST CHURCH

A MAN is to face Derry Magistrates’ Court this morning charged over a break-in at Christ Church in Derry.

The burglary and ransacking happened last month in the dead of night  at the church on the Infirmary Road in Derry.

The 22-year-old has been charged with criminal damage and burglary.

A 23-year man arrested yesterday afternoon over the same incident remains in custody at Strand Road police station.

Both men were detained by the PSNI in as part of Operation Exposure.

Police released images on Wednesday of two men they wanted to speak to about the burglary.

The faces of two men were captured on CCTV in the area.

As a result of the images release, both men were subsequently arrested.
