Derry-based video and animation specialists TYPE 40 Creative is one of 15 companies who will be showcasing the North West’s ‘entrepreneurship and innovation’ when they travel to Boston Massachusetts in mid-November as part of a joint collaboration between Councils in Derry/Strabane and Donegal.
The trip is part of the region’s strategy to promote inward investment and provide local businesses access to potential export opportunity.
TYPE 40 is a creative content studio that specialises in video, motion graphics and animation and have been involved in creating content for the music industry including TV ads, music videos and trailers.
Among their clients are bands such as The Beatles, Coldplay and The Prodigy.
They also make product videos and infographics for tech companies.
Speaking ahead of the Boston trade mission, TYPE 40 Director Rich Osborn said: “We are a creative marketing agency and design studio with a big focus on web design and video production, operating with clients in all corners of the world.
“We focus on creating interesting and attractive visual content for marketing, broadcast and promotion. Using a mix of CGI (computer generated images), motion graphics and video production we are able to meet all video production needs.
“Our recent projects have included the Blu-ray and DVD for the 50th Anniversary of “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”, a trailer for the 40th anniversary of Queen’s classic album “News of the World”, a TV ad for Warner Music’s Italian Romance compilation and stage visuals for a live show in London.
“TYPE 40 also make product videos and infographics for tech companies and start-ups, showcasing their products in ways that would otherwise be impossible.
“We are currently doing business with Universal Music and White Horse Picture, who are both based in California. However, we are also keen to tap into the vast potential of the market on the East Coast of America.
“We are therefore really excited about joining the North West delegation to Boston and meeting up with businesses and marketing companies who we could work with as a video content supplier.”
