DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch have this morning arrested a man over a dissident republican shooting in Derry over the summer.
A police spokesperson said: “Detectives investigating the paramilitary style shooting of a 33 year old man at Lisfannon Park in Derry in August 2017, have arrested a 26 year old man. He has been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
“The arrest follows a planned search in the Drumahoe area this morning, Thursday 15th November.”
The suspect has been taken to the serious crime suite in Belfast for questioning.
Since the start of the year there has been 11 shootings by dissident republicans in Derry.
