The rankings found the North of Ireland to have more schools inside the top 100 than any other part of the United Kingdom except for London and England’s southeast.
The newspaper named Quaker-run Friends School in Lisburn, a school which admits all faiths and none, as its Northern Irish School of the Year
This marks the second time the school has scooped the award.
Results over the summer saw the school rise 46 places nationally.
Pupils at the Catholic coeducational school came close to 90% of all A-levels coming back A*, A or B.
