A 22 year old man has been charged over a robbery incident in which a shop worker in Derry sustained a knife injury to her hand.
The PSNI the suspect has been charged with possessing offensive weapon in a public place.
He is expected to appear before Omagh Magistrates Court this morning, Saturday, December 9.
Police are expected to object to bail due to the seriousness of the offences and have him remanded into custody.
As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charges are in connection with an armed robbery of commercial premises on Shipquay Street in Derry on Wednesday, November 29.
