A 37 year old man arrested earlier today by Detectives investigating the attempted murder of an off duty police officer in Derry earlier this year has been released unconditionally.
He was arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act and taken to the serious crime custody suite in Belfast for questioning about the under car booby trap murder on the police officer in the Ardanlee area of the city on February 22
Under the Terrorism Act, suspect cannot be released on bail.
They are either charged, released unconditionally or reported to the Public Prosecution Service.
