SINN Féin’S Education Spokesperson Karen Mullan MLA has encouraged people to apply to become school governors.The Foyle MLA said: “Boards of Governors play a crucial role in the management of schools and volunteering to serve on a board is a chance to make an invaluable and positive contribution to children’s lives by sharing skills and experiences.
“Further information, guidance on how to apply to become a school governor and a copy of the application form are available online to download from the Department of Education website or the Education Authority website.
“Successful applicants will be expected to take up the post for a four-year term of office from 2018 – 2022.”
