“The Time to Talk Day which was first launched in 2014 encourages everyone to talk about mental health.
“It estimated that one in four of the population is affected by mental health problems at some point in their lives, so it vitally important that we encourage those who have concerns about their mental health to raise these concerns openly and not feel marginalised.
“We are committed to developing policies and fighting for legislation which will enhance mental health services and reduce suicide.
“We must be relentless in our aim to promote attitudes and practices which support wellbeing,” she added.
