He said: “I contacted Transport NI to try and get these and other potholes across Creggan repaired as a matter of urgency.
“So it’s important to congratulate them on moving so quickly to carry out these repairs.
“These potholes on Iniscarn Road were of particular concern as they were directly after exiting the busiest roundabout in” Creggan.
“It’s also a very busy pedestrian crossing point with St Marys Chapel, the City Cemetery and local schools and shops on Bligh’s Lane.
“Pot holes can cause motorists to swerve or change direction in order to avoid doing damage to their car.
“This means potentially endangering other motorists and pedestrians.
“Furthermore pot holes can mean costly repairs for car owners in a financial climate that they can ill afford,” added Cllr Campbell..
