A Met Office yellow weather warning for snow and ice for Derry has been extended into next week.
Heavy hail and snow showers are expected to fall today, Sunday, February 11, and continue through until around 3pm on Monday afternoon.
It is expected this will lead to longer journey times by road, bus and train.
The Met Office has warned some vehicles could become stranded.
Ice is expected to form on untreated pavements, cycle paths and roads with the potential for some injuries from slips and falls.
Power cuts are also possible, with other services such as mobile phones potentially being impacted.
