FOYLE Search and Rescue has announced its first event of its 25 year celebrations and it will be in partnership with The Playtrail.
The charity, whose volunteers patrol the River Foyle all year round saving lives, is holding an open air cinema this Saturday, February 24,for both children and adults.
The charity say on its Facebook page: “We will be holding an open air cinema with showings for families during the day and adults in the evening the beautiful out door theatre in the Playtrail.
“The family showing will be at 1.30 pm we will be showing Gnomeo and Juliet
“The adult showing will be at 7.00 pm and we will be showing Romeo and Juliet.
“Booking essential via email [email protected]
“A confirmation email will then be sent once booking has been received.
“This is now a free event, donation on the day would be welcome but not essential.”
Anyone who had previously paid to come along this Saturday have now been refunded in full.
The charity survives on public donations and its volunteers work tireless for free helping people stay safe near the bridge.
