A 58-year-old man’s nose has been broken during an attack in Strabane.
The man was assaulted during an altercation with a number of men in the Carlton Drive area sometime between 1pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday.
The victim also sustained bruising to his body, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A 59-year-old man subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm has since been released on bail, pending further police enquiries.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area around these times and witnessed the assault to contact them at Strand Road in Derry/Londonderry on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1007 of 21/02/18.
