SINN Féin Councillor Sandra Duffy has welcomed the news that the Racecourse Road at Ballyarnett will be resurfaced before the end of March.
Cllr Duffy says she has been highlighting the issues with this road to the Department for Infrastructure over the past number of months and calling on them to carry out resurfacing.
She said: “This road is particularly bad with potholes and an uneven surface with the constant digging it up for utility works.
“And it is an accident waiting to happen.
“I have met with the Department for Infrastructure today and they have agreed to carrying out this resurfacing work before the end of this month.
“This is welcome news for the users of this road who have been raising concerns with myself over recent months,” she added.
