DERRY City and Strabane District Council is to consider the views of those opposed to a new train hub in the city.
Translink have recently unveiled plans a £26 million revamp of Waterside Railyway Station.
The plans have received the backing of Derry Chamber of Trade.
But Into the West, a ampaign group promoting investment in rail transport in the North West of Ireland, is opposed to the plans.
It has tweeted this morning that the views of those who support its opposition to the proposals have not fallen on deaf ears.
The tweet reads: “The Planning Officer at @dcsdcouncil has asked for a copy of the list of Waterside Railway Station petitioners at @Change and their comments.
“So if you are one of the 2,769 people who have registered your concern about the @Translink_NI design proposals, your voice is being heard.”
