The Live Here Love Here Small Grants Information Session will be held by Derry City and Strabane District Council in conjunction with Keep NI Beautiful, and will take place on Thursday March 22, 6.30pm-8.30pm in the Guildhall.
The scheme itself launches on 16th April 2018, and is open to volunteer groups who would like to complete an environmental or community improvement project in their local area and grants. Grants range from £500 to £5000 depending on the project.
Head of Environment with Derry City and Strabane District Council, Conor Canning, encouraged local groups to come along to the session to see what support is available.
“There are many organisations across the City and District working on projects to benefit the environment in their local community areas, and many with aspirations to do so but without the resources.”
“The small grants scheme offers the opportunity for groups to apply for the necessary funds to deliver projects designed to enhance their local area and to promote civic pride.
“It’s a great chance for organisations to transform a space in their local community and I would really encourage any interested organisations to come along to find out more about what’s available.”
The information session will run from 6.30pm – 8.30pm at the Whittaker Suite, the Guildhall, Derry.
The closing dates for applications for the Live Here Love Here scheme is May 28th at 12noon so there will be plenty of time to work on project ideas.
