POLICE are advising the public in Derry to enjoy the bank holiday weekend but try not to drink too much.
PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “As always we expect this to be a busy weekend here in the city. Not only is it a bank holiday weekend.
“W also have some clinker rugby matches 🏉 coming up, as well as the Spring Festival ☘️ which includes a food fair, carnival parade, and music and street animation from 12pm to 5pm on Saturday. 💃🏽🕺🏼
“There will be an ABOD parade in the city centre starting off at 11.45am at The Fountain with a short service in St Columb’s Cathedral at 12.30pm followed by the return parade from 1.10pm to 1.40pm.
“There will also be a short parade in the Waterside from 3pm to 3.40pm starting at Bonds Street.
“We are expecting significant visitor numbers to the city and for the bars and clubs to be busy throughout the weekend.
“So if you are heading out please have a great time, don’t drink to excess, and if you are having a 🍻 or two make sure you
