The team of locally-based online style magazine The Style Edit is celebrating after winning Best Lifestyle, Fashion & Beauty Blog at this year’s DANI Awards.
The awards, the brainchild of digital guru Naomh McElhatton, celebrate the expertise, talent and achievements of the digital, tech and creative sectors and this year’s event took place in the gorgeous surroundings of The Great Hall at Queen’s University, Belfast.
Hosted by the Scissor Sisters’ Ana Matronic this year’s DANI Awards, with title partners Diamond Recruitment, saw more than 300 entries from across the North.
Judges were on the lookout for blogs that were visually appealing, captivating and inspirational. Ease of navigation, overall presentation, quality of images, content and follower engagement were also taken into consideration.
Competition for the Best Lifestyle, Fashion & Beauty Blog category (sponsored by Abbey Centre) was strong with other contenders including EmerD, The Holiday Ninja and Katie Andrews Blog.
Commenting on the accolade The Style Edit founder Jenny Taggart said: “We are on Cloud 9 to win this award.
“I want to say ‘Well done’ to everyone in our category, it was an honour to be shortlisted alongside such talent and I want thank the DANI Awards for an amazing night.
“The Style Edit has only been going for a few months but we have big plans and a fantastic team so we look forward to showing what more we have to offer in the future. None of this would be possible without the support of our followers so I want to thank them in particular.”
“If the recognition wasn’t enough the awards themselves are also gorgeous works of art designed by the fabulous Gráinne Maher that will look great on the mantelpiece,” said Jenny, who is based between Drumsurn and Derry City.
